Customs clearance
Getting goods through customs is where most imports get held up. We prepare the paperwork, work out what's due and get your goods released.

What customs clearance involves
Every shipment arriving in Ireland from outside the EU has to be declared to Revenue before it is released. The declaration describes the goods, their value and origin, and the commodity code that sets the rate of duty.
A mistake in any of these can mean delays at the port, storage charges or paying the wrong amount. We handle it for you so it's done right the first time.
What we take care of
- Import customs declarations for goods arriving by sea, air, rail and road
- Classifying goods under the right commodity codes
- Calculating customs duty and import VAT
- Checking invoices, packing lists and origin documents
- Clearance for goods moving within the European Union
Using another forwarder for the freight?
That's fine. We can clear goods through customs even if the transport was arranged by someone else. Get in touch with the shipment details.

Good to know
Do I need an EORI number?
Yes. A business importing goods from outside the EU needs an EORI number, which Irish businesses get from Revenue. It's quick to apply for, and we can help if you're not sure how.
What's a commodity code?
It's a number that classifies your product for customs. It decides the rate of duty, and whether any licences or checks apply. Getting it right matters, so we check it for every shipment.
Can you clear goods I've shipped with another company?
Yes. Send us the shipment details and documents and we'll handle the clearance.
